Maxi pink skirt

Summer is a great season to wear colored clothes whether we choose light shades or brights but I think this is one of the most colorful outfits I've worn in the last couple of months. For summer, maxi skirts or dresses are one of my favorite pieces because they are really versatile and you can  dress them up or down, depending on the occasion. This is just my second maxi skirt and I ordered it online from Oasap so I couldn't try it before and I feel it makes me look a little too big. That's why I tried to balance the outfit with a loose blouse on the upper part. And to complete my outfit I added this necklace in a beautiful champagne color from eFoxcity.com. Emerald necklace

My new favorite necklace thanks to Clothingloves! I haven't done an outfit post in a while but here I am with a new one showing you this beautiful necklace. I liked it when I saw it online, but when I received the necklace it really exceeded my expectations. It is the perfect shade of emerald, which we all know Pantone named color of the year and I would honestly wear it everyday if I could. They also have the necklace in blue, but I went for the emerald one. And my blouse is also emerald green, like the necklace but it looks blue in the photos. Too bad you can't see the real color.

Bloglovin - know who is following you

As you probably know by now, Google Reader is closing soon, so a big question arises now: what do we use to follow all the blogs we like in one place? By connecting to GFC the blog would automatically show up in your Google Reader feed, thing that won't be possible anymore starting July 1, 2013.You can find their official announce here. We are probably going to lose many followers with this change, but a good idea is to move to Bloglovin. Most of the blogs already have Bloglovin, but I'm going to explain a little bit about it:

1. You need to create an account on Bloglovin.
2. When you sign up you can "claim" your blog and administrate it on Bloglovin.
3. You can add the blogs you follow to a certain group for a better organization.
4. Bloglovin offers you now the possibility to import your blogs from Google Reader so that you won't lose any of your favorite blogs. I've already imported all the data from my Google Reader. It doesn't take you long.
5. Bloglovin also launched profile pages, so now people can see that your are following their blog.To claim a profile page and a custom URL that matches your blog name visit http://www.bloglovin.com/get_profile.You can only see who is following you and let others know that you follow them if you create a profile page. This is mine.

So if you've been following by blog for a while and want to stay updated or just found my blog and you like it, please follow my blog on Bloglovin in order not to miss any post.
Another option would be Feedly. I've tried it and it looks nice. There other alternatives too, but Bloglovin looks like it will stay here for long. What are you using instead of Google Reader?

Contest win

Yeeey! I'm happy to tell you that I won the contest! Remeber about it? I was thinking about varying a little the content of the blog so today I'm showing you some inspirational photos for decorating the house.I really like the combination of blue and purple.Just look at these photos!That's actually how my room is decorated: in blue and purple.It looks great in the right shades. I went for the pastel tones, and not brights beacuse it might have been too much for my not so big room.

Denim vest

There was a time in high school when I was crazy about my denim vest, but then I forgot about it and stayed in the back of my closet until a few days ago when I decided it should see the sunlight again.

I really don't know why I haven't worn it anymore, because a denim vest is quite a versatile item in your wardrobe.

I've worn it with my black pants (as I'm not a big fan of the matchy-matchy style), a simple white top, oversized sunglasses and a hat (the only one I have, I should buy myself some more because they really change the outfit, plus they can hide an unruly hair).But there are many other ways in which you can wear it, like for instance over a dress.I really liked how Jessica Alba styled a denim vest over a maxi floral dress.It looked amazing and until I saw her outfit I didn't believe a dress could look good with a denim vest on top.You can check it out here if you want to see what I'm talking about.
