The Carrie Diaries

Hey, girls!Sorry for the absence, but if you follow my blog with Facebook you already know that I was feeling quite sick this week and that's why the lack of posts.I really wanted this year to post more often that I used to and I'm back online now.
I know, I come quite late with my post as the first episode of The Carrie Diaries aired last week, but I've just seen it.I won't be telling you what the story is about in case you haven't seen it and want to watch it.As Gossip girl ended last December, this series is supposed to be it's replacement.If it will succeed or not, we'll see.Talking about the fashion part, I must admit that in the beginning my first reaction was : "oh, those clothes are ugly!", but hey, it's the 80's.On the other hand, I loved how creative Carrie was when transforming her mom's bag.I wanted to do something like that, but I was afraid to ruin it.Well, maybe now I'll dare to do it.

    I think the show is ok. I do think the clothes are a little out there and ugly but it is the 80's! :) I will keep watching it though, it is pretty cute! Hope you feel better!

    Downton Abbey is my current obsession, and so is Revenge. I am liking the carrie diaries I think it replaces my need for Gossip Girl :(

    I guess the show was alright, although these actresses literally have NONE of the charm of SJP.

    Sex and the city was a ground breaking, feminist, sexy show, but most of all it was witty and clever. This was just another bland old American tv show. The characters weren't anything as fabulous as those in the original.

    Having said that, good luck to the show, and nice reading your views!

    The one thing that bothers me from everything I've seen so far is that the girl looks NOTHING like SJP! Although I guess that's hard. But I don't know, I feel like it will be hard to convince myself because SJP is just so integral to who Carrie Bradshaw is!
