Cool hats for winter

Winter is not going away so we need something chic to cover our heads.Even if it's cold outside, we can still look fashionable and be warm in the same time.Weather you chose a boho hat, an elegant one or a beanie, the most important is to match it with your outfit.

But finding a perfect hat that's best for your face shape can be quite tricky.If you have an oval face you can wear a beanie, as it doesn't make your face look longer.But if you have a heart-shaped face try a slouchy one to soften the lines.For an oblong face choose a big, round one in contrast with your long face.If you have a round face, you need one that elongates your face -like a fedora, while a trilby hat is a good choice for a square face.

The Carrie Diaries

Hey, girls!Sorry for the absence, but if you follow my blog with Facebook you already know that I was feeling quite sick this week and that's why the lack of posts.I really wanted this year to post more often that I used to and I'm back online now.

I know, I come quite late with my post as the first episode of The Carrie Diaries aired last week, but I've just seen it.I won't be telling you what the story is about in case you haven't seen it and want to watch it.As Gossip girl ended last December, this series is supposed to be it's replacement.If it will succeed or not, we'll see.Talking about the fashion part, I must admit that in the beginning my first reaction was : "oh, those clothes are ugly!", but hey, it's the 80's.On the other hand, I loved how creative Carrie was when transforming her mom's bag.I wanted to do something like that, but I was afraid to ruin it.Well, maybe now I'll dare to do it.

I want to start by thanking everyone for the lovely comments you wrote to me on the last post.It always makes me happy to read them.But for today there is no outfit post. I decided to make one short post about beauty, and not fashion.Diversity is always good, right?And I couldn't take any pictures with this cold, rainy weather.
So, let's talk about makeup.One big trend on the Golden Globes was the natural makeup.Flawless skin and nothing too exaggerated.Another big trend in this fall that was adopted by many bloggers and celebrities on the red carpet was emphasizing your lips with a dark lipstick.

Do you remember my fashion resolutions post?Maybe not, I'm probably gonna forget about it soon, buuut... I checked no.3 and 4 already.I bought a pair of burgundy jeans and I've worn a skirt.Haha, yes I did.I took some shots so I'm gonna show them to you.Oh, yes and I also bought a skirt.They are both from New Yorker.Lately this seems to be my favorite store.They have so many products on sale right now so that's like heaven.The jeans were 10€ and the skirt was 5€.Nice prices, right?Can't wait to wear them!

Like a child in the snow

          When I woke up this morning it was snowing.Reaaally snowing! So I couldn't miss the chance to take some shots in the snow.I had to run a little errand so I wore my coziest longest coat and my fake uggs.I really don't like the cold and the snow but this time I must admit that the child in me was happy to see all those big snowflakes coming down the sky.Hope you'll like the photos I took!

Shine like emeralds

         Moving back to my usual fashion posts today I was thinking to talk to you about what will be the color of this year.Surprisingly or not, emerald is Pantone’s choice for 2013 and it will probably be most women’s choice too.I don’t know if you expected this, but I was thinking of a different shade, going more to blue than to the beautiful color of emeralds.I always thought that this color looks really good on evening dresses, especially maxi ones.We have seen many emerald dresses on the red carpet over the years as it looks good on blondes, brunettes and especially redheads.This particular shade of green has a sophisticated elegance.
