Lessons I've learned in 2012

First of all I want to thank you for your lovely comments on yesterday's post!I 'm not used to receiving compliments for me and I appreciate every kind word you wrote me.And now let's move to today's post that has nothing to do with fashion or beauty.
Since it's still the beginning of 2013 I was thinking at the year that just passed.And these are the most important lessons that I've learned in 2012.It wasn't my best year (to put it in a nice way), but at least I've figured some things out:

1. "treat others as you’d like to be treated"   
2. "treat others like they’d like to be treated"
3. be the person you’d like to meet, to talk to and to hang around with
4. we are still going to die so why fight and make a lot of fuss?At least enjoy life.Every moment  not being happy is waisted.
5. we are still going to die so do what you want, not what others want you too.For your own mental sake
6. stop trying to please everyone because you’ll be lonely and unhappy
7. be happy  and people will want you around them
8. "we accept the love we think we deserve" -  "The perks of being a wallflower"

And now let's look with hope for a brighter year and future.

Stop the pigeon!

This is a first: I'm showing you guys a ...sort of outfit.Talk now about a fresh start of year...

All black...as always...I should try to change the colour palette.At least the scarf is light pink.Well, if you wonder I was wearing Pimkie coat, Only jeans, H&M scarf, C&A hat, New Yorker boots and H&M bag.Btw, I just loove that bag

Just a casual day with a stop to feed the pigeons.Don't you all do that every day?I'm kidding. Do you remember that cartoon with the pigeon and the song: "stop the pigeon, stop the pigeon..."?Well, this is what came to my mind back home when I looked at these photos.That's why I chose this title.

And yes, they were happily sitting on my boots and eating.No care in the world...

DIY hair chain

I love hair accessories and anything related to haircare and hairstyling.Last year my biggest obssesion related to hair accessories was hair chains.But I never saw anything that I liked in stores, so this year I took things in my own hands.And besides, it's even better when you don't have to pay a cent.

I've had these hair combs for ages, but I never used them.So I thought they needed a makeover...

and this is the result.

Yes, that is my hair.I know, I have split ends and I have to cut it

The two combs that I have are quite big, but I plan on buying some smaller ones for a new DIY project.I want to make something like this.Can't wait!

I like giving a new face to old things, I also made some bracelets and a necklace a while ago.I'm going to show you those ones too soon.
